Police Report: Theft From CVS; BB Gun Fired at Home Window

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Sunday morning seems like an odd time to steal vodka and movies, but that's what three men are suspected of in this week's Whitefish Bay police reports.

The three men allegedly stole multiple bottles of alcohol and movies from around 8:37 a.m. Sunday. The men were last seen headed northbound down Anita Avenue, but they were gone by the time police arrived.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • Police responded to the at Hampton Road and Santa Monica Boulevard on report of a man lying on the ground at 8:48 p.m. Feb. 23. A 25-year-old Whitefish Bay man waved down police upon arrival and said his stepfather, a 40-year-old Whitefish Bay man, was highly intoxicated. The man was turned over to North Shore Fire Department paramedics.
  • A male and a female dumped numerous bulk items on a lawn in the 4800 block of Hollywood Ave. Wednesday night, and when the resident confronted the two, they picked up the items and fled eastbound in their vehicle on Chateau Place. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • An unknown person shot a BB gun pellet through the window of a home in the 100 block of Montclaire Avenue sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 23.
  • A house and vehicle were egged in the 4900 block of North Berkeley Boulevard between 5 p.m. Feb. 25 and noon Feb. 26.

Drunken driving

  • An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at 3:17 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 4600 block of N. Oakland Ave. He was also cited for suspended registration. 
  • A 20-year-old Middleton woman was cited for drunken driving at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 4500 block of N. Oakland Avenue. She was also cited for failing to display license plates, failing to properly maintain an exhaust system and operating a vehicle without brake lights.
  • A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped in the 100 block of East Hampton Ave. at 2:47 a.m. Feb. 26. His blood alcohol content measured 0.11. He was also cited for failing to stop for a flashing red light.
