Police Report: Summer Break Begins With Illegal Parties, Vandalism

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

About six to eight young people fled the beach area north of at about 9 p.m. Saturday when police arrived to investigate a fire along the beach on the 6100 block of Lake Drive. They left behind beer and other personal property.Β  An 18-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • Three 15-year-old boys were caught smoking marijuana in the parking lot at 5635 N. Santa Monica Blvd at 5 p.m. Tuesday. One of the boys was taken into custody for possession of THC, paraphernalia and tobacco. Another one of the boys was cited for tobacco possession.
  • Teen vandals lit up three smoke bombs in front of a house on the 4700 block of North Cramer Street at 10 p.m. Sunday night. The resident also found a traffic sign on the front porch, the latest in what has been a string of about 10 vandalism incidents at the house since spring, the homeowner said.
  • Whitefish Bay police arrested three people for passing worthless checks at , 240 E Hampton Rd., at 4 p.m. Sunday. They had been involved in passing worthless checks recently at the store, according to store employees. Β A 40-year-old Milwaukee woman, 39-year-old Milwaukee man and a 27-year-old Milwaukee man were taken to the Criminal Justice Facility on forgery charges. The driver, a 33-year-old Milwaukee man, was cited for operating without a license and operating after revocation.
