Police Report: Lawn Mowers Stolen From Two Garages

A car on Berkeley Boulevard was also vandalized with latex paint, according to Whitefish Bay police logs.

Three thefts were reported in Whitefish Bay last week:

  • An unknown man stole a lawn mower and gas can from an open garage in the 4800 block of Larkin Street at 10:52 a.m. on June 24. He left behind an electric yard edger, which was stolen from an unknown residence. Police were unable to locate the man.
  • Two lawn mowers and a mountain bike were stolen from an unlocked garage in the 5300 block of Lydell Avenue sometime between 10 p.m. June 24 and 10:30 a.m. June 25.
  • A USB thumb drive, $2 in change and a car radio remote were stolen from an unlocked car in the 4900 block of Berkeley Boulevard between 10:30 p.m. June 25 and 6:30 a.m. June 26. 

In other Whitefish Bay police news:
  • An unknown person threw tan latex paint on a car in the 6200 block of Berkeley Boulevard sometime between 9 p.m. June 25 and 7 a.m. on June 26.
  • A driver had open intoxicants when police stopped the vehicle for registration violations at 6:42 p.m. June 23 in the 4800 block of N. Santa Monica Boulevard.
  • One man's blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit when he was arrested for his second drunken driving offense at 12:33 a.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of Larkin Street. His blood alcohol content was 0.20.
  • Police received a report of about 10 to 15 kids playing "Ding, Dong, Ditch" at 10:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Birch Avenue and Diversey Street. Three parents were contacted by police.
