Police Report: Fraud at the JCC; Collector's Baseball Cards Stolen

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

More than $2,500 in charges were rang up on credit cards stolen from the this week.

A JCC employee reported the transportation credit cards as stolen Wednesday, at which point $2,539.60 had been charged on the cards at six different locations throughout Milwaukee. Whitefish Bay detectives are following up on the case.

In other police news:

  • A GPS device and a leather briefcase were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 600 block of East Beaumont Avenue between 10 a.m. Oct. 31 and 6 a.m. Tuesday.
  • A 56-year-old Whitefish Bay woman reported her wallet stolen at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday. She initially believed the wallet was taken from her purse in her car while she was returning her grocery cart at , but police now believe the theft occurred at a different location.
  • A baseball signed by former Milwaukee Braves players, a Sandy Koufax rookie card, a Jackie Robinson rookie card and other baseball cards were reported missing from a home in the 5300 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue home Thursday afternoon. The homeowner said they went missing in the last two weeks. He is having work done inside in the home.

  • A ο»Ώο»Ώ junior was cited for possession of marijuana at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday. Police caught the student with 1.3 grams of marijuana, which was then placed into evidence.
  • Kids were reported ringing doorbells and smashing pumpkins in the 6200 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 9:46 p.m. Friday night. No description was provided of the kids, and police were unable to locate them when they checked the area.
