Police Report: Drunken Driver Hits Parked Cars

Police respond to two other reports of drunken driving and a retail theft at Sendik's last week.

A 31-year-old Greenfield woman was taken into custody after driving into two parked cars and attempting to flee last week.

All police squads responded to the reported accident at Silver Spring Drive and Diversey Boulevard at 5:23 a.m on Oct. 3. The woman failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Columbia St. Mary’s hospital for a blood draw.

She was cited with operating while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia, imprudent speed, operating without insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt.

  • A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for stealing from at noon Oct. 3. The man fled the area westbound on a bicycle until a Glendale police officer located the man at Silver Spring Drive and Milwaukee River Parkway. He was transported to Whitefish Bay Police Department and issued a municipal citation for retail theft.
  • A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for possession of marijuana at on Oct. 4.
  • Whitefish Bay police and other local police K-9 teams performed a narcotics search at Thursday. No narcotics were found.
  • A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at 3 a.m. Saturday morning in the 100 block of West Hampton Avenue. His blood alcohol content was 0.14. He was cited for OWI, operating after his license was suspended and operating without proof of insurance.
  • A 39-year-old Whitefish Bay man was found passed out on the front porch of a house for sale on the 600 block of East Beaumont Avenue at 6 a.m. Saturday. The rear sliding glass door of the home was found unsecured. The man was cited for loitering.
