Police Report: Alcohol in the Jeans and Car Surfing

How many pockets do you need to fit four bottles of liquor in your pants?

A 54-year-old Brown Deer man tried to find the answer to that question Wednesday night, when he attempted to walk out of the , 240 E. Hampton Road, with four bottles of liquor in his pant legs.

He was arrested and issued a municipal citation for retail theft shortly after the incident at 7:06 p.m. He was released about one hour later. The four liquor bottles were valued at $75.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • A 25-year-old Whitefish Bay woman and a 28-year-old Milwaukee man were taken into custody for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia early Saturday morning.
    All squads reported to the 100 block of East Fairmount Avenue on the report of a suspicious vehicle. The woman’s minor children were turned over to their grandmother, and the Milwaukee County Bureau of Child Welfare was notified.
  •  A group of kids were apparently car surfing on a sport utility vehicle Saturday night.
    A caller reported the car surfing incident at about 10 pm. Saturday on the 4800 block of North Newhall Street. The caller reported the incident several minutes after seeing it, and the vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.
  • A 13-year-old girl’s bicycle was reportedly stolen overnight May 16. The bicycle was left unlocked on the 200 block of East Chateau Place.
