Police Report: Homeowner Breaks Into Own Home

The latest Whitefish Bay police logs also include marijuana at Whitefish Bay High School and a dumpster fire on Anita Avenue.

Whitefish Bay squads rushed to the 1700 block of Hampton Road after receiving a report of a man kicking open the door to a house at 8:42 p.m. on May 5. Police made contact with the homeowner, who was "highly intoxicated," and determined the man broke into his own home.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • A dumpster in the alley of the 4900 block of Anita Avenue caught fire at 10:56 p.m. on May 8. North Shore Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, which appeared to be accidental. Remnants of a cooking device were observed amongst the charred contents of the dumpster.
  • Two Whitefish Bay High School students were arrested and cited for possession of marijuana at 11:28 a.m. on May 10.
  • A blue heart was spray painted on the back of a detached garage in the 6300 block of Lake Drive sometime between April 25 and May 5.
