Police Blotter: Neighbors Cause Suspected Burglar to Flee

Police also break up an underage drinking party and cite 15 teens.

Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 1600 block of Blackthorne Place at 8:39 a.m. Sunday.

Witnesses reported seeing a 25- to 30-year-old bald male parked in the driveway of a home.  The man was said to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed approximately 200 pounds.  He was driving an older model, black Toyota Corolla with tinted windows and a dented hood. Witnesses said the front and rear license plates had been covered by plastic bags. The suspect fled on North Newhall after neighbors came over to investigate.

  • A Whitefish Bay man reported kids ringing his doorbell at 8:23 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.  The man said he chased the kids through the field at the , but was unable to catch them. He said they were last seen heading north. An officer checked the area, but found no one.
  • Fifteen teenagers were cited for underage drinking after police broke up a party in the 5300 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:34 p.m. Nov. 18.
  • A West Allis teenager was arrested at the warming house at 5900 North Lake Drive at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday after turning over a small amount of marijuana, a glass pipe and cigarettes.  An officer found the teenager, along with three other friends, sitting in the dark in the building, which he said smelled of marijuana.
  • A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman stopped her car in the middle of traffic on East Silver Spring Drive Friday evening. An officer said the woman then exited her vehicle and began yelling at a man in the backseat, asking him to get out. Police cited the woman for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The combatants were then advised to take the bus home.
