Shorewood

An oven fire on the 2000 block of East Kenmore Place started when the homeowner made a pizza at 9:39 p.m. Nov. 29. She said she cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving which caused a mess in the oven, and the grease started on fire when she made her pizza a couple days later. She told responders that she thought she put the fire out with flour. Crews then ventilated the first floor with a fan and advised the woman to install her smoke detector, which she said she disconnected because it went off every time she cooked.

Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident in the 7000 block of North Bell Road at 8:24 a.m. Thursday. Both of the vehicles had minor damage on the front end of their vehicles, so both vehicles were cribbed. Dry sorb was placed down to absorb a minor fluid leak. Both drivers were transported to an area hospital.

Whitefish Bay

A smoky odor in a home in the 4900 block of Berkeley Boulevard was determined to be a shorted electrical outlet Sunday afternoon. Crews unplugged a lamp from the outlet, shut off power to the outlet and advised the homeowner to replace the outlet before using it again.
