Late-Night Park Outing Ends in Citations

Two 22-year-old Whitefish Bay men were caught with beer and a marijuana pipe at Big Bay Park at 1 a.m. July 27.

A 22-year-old Whitefish Bay man was caught throwing a marijuana pipe over the rocks at when an officer on foot patrol approached him and a friend last week.

The officer was on patrol in the park at 1 a.m. July 27 and found two 22-year-old men from Whitefish Bay walking along the top of the rocks. When the man saw the cop, he threw the pipe over the rocks.

When the officer asked what he threw, he admitted it was a marijuana pipe that he recently smoked out of. The officers collected the pieces of the pipe as evidence.

The other man was caught with three large cans of Genesee Pale Ale stuffed into his cargo pockets. He said they planned to drink the beers in the park.

One of the men received citations for possession of drug paraphernalia, violating park closing hours and littering. The other, for violating park closing hours and possessing alcohol in a county park.
