Fox 6 Report: Local Con Man Bilked Investors Out of Life Savings

Prosecutor describes David Foley, a former co-owner of Sport 'n Cuts, as a "quintessential confidence man" with an "insatiable desire for easy money."

A former Whitefish Bay barber that is in prison for check-kiting duped his Whitefish Bay business partner and dozens of other business partners over the years out of their entire life savings, according to a Fox 6 investigation.

Fox 6's in-depth investigation into David Foley's criminal background aired Thursday night. The video features one-on-one interviews with some of Foley's business partners turned victims, including Rick Bystra of Sport 'n Cuts. Bystra is now trying to rebuild the business under a new name, Cutters.

Foley, 49, of Shorewood, was with six federal child pornography charges. He was also charged with five bail-jumping charges related to an unrelated identity theft conviction, for which he was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
