The former communications director for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod is headed to prison for following a boys cross country team while he was on probation for having child pornography.

Following boys earns prison for former WELS employee Joel W. Hochmuth was fired from his spot as communications director for Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), and earned a four-year prison term from a Waukesha County judge for following a boys cross country team on multiple occasions.

Knife confiscated from 2nd-grader Some students said the second-grade student at Washington Elementary School in Wauwatosa, threatened them with the knife he brought to school several days this month. The schol said the knife was confiscated when staff became aware it was at school.

 Details continue to emerge about the fatal crash that killed an 18-year-old Muskego High School graduate. Interviews with people who had been with Kayla Corona said she had been drinking; her father told Patch they believe something was wrong with the vehicle.

Suspected first-month-free scam ends in embezzlement charges In Greenfield, apartment managers are charged with embezzling more than $100,000 from the complex they managed. Police say they told tenants they had to pay their first month's rent in case, then pocketed the money. They took the cash payments, police said, as part of an unauthorized promotion saying tenants would not have to pay their first month's rent.

Benjamin Sebena pleads not guilty in his wife's death The man charged with killing his wife, Wauwatosa Police Officer Jennifer Sebena, pleaded not guilty at an initial hearing held this week. Jennifer Sebena was found shot to death on Christmas Eve; she was on duty when she died.
