Drunk Driver Tries to Outrun Police

A Whitefish Bay man is accused of speeding through a red light, running away from cops and throwing a tantrum at the police station.

An intoxicated Whitefish Bay man was slapped with seven municipal citations after he allegedly sped through a red light, ran away from the cops and threw a tantrum at the police station.

At about 5 p.m. on April 21, a Whitefish Bay officer parked outside Whitefish Bay Middle School saw the man's car blow past him at about 50 mph, going right through the stop sign at Kimbark Place and then through a red light at Marlborough Drive and Henry Clay Drive. Both cars and pedestrians were present at the intersection, according to a police report.

The officer quickly pursued the car in his squad, following it to the parking lot of an apartment building in the 800 block of Henry Clay Street. When the officer yelled at the driver to stop, the driver took off running and tried to jump over a fence. The cop held him at Taser point and ordered him to the ground.
