Denim Thief Leads Cops on a Foot Chase Through Whitefish Bay

After stealing two pairs of jeans from Kohl's, a 23-year-old Milwaukee man fled Bayshore Town Center and was arrested on Shoreland Avenue.

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man that fled Kohl's Department Store with stolen denim was tracked down in a foot chase through Whitefish Bay two weeks ago.

Kohl's employees caught the man's suspicious actions on surveillance cameras at around 5:58 p.m. on Feb. 15. A store employee told police that he took two pairs of women's jeans and two pairs of men's jeans into a fitting room, and came out with only one pair of women's jeans to bring to the cash register. Another pair of men's jeans were left in the fitting room.

After the transaction at the cash register was denied, the man attempted to leave the store but was stopped by a store employee. He then took off running in a southeast direction, behind PNC Bank.
