UPDATED: Contractor Falls From Tree on Shore Drive

Flight For Life transported the 19-year-old man to Froedtert Hospital for critical injuries Wednesday morning.

Emergency medical helicopters descended upon Wednesday morning to transport a tree service employee who fell 30 feet from a tree-trimming bucket truck in the 5600 block of Shore Drive.

The call came to North Shore Fire Department at about 7:20 a.m., about 10 minutes after the call on a . The 19-year-old Burlington man, who worked for a tree service contracted by the village, was transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for critical head injuries, according to a news release issued by the North Shore Fire Department.

Whitefish Bay Interim Police Chief Ron Stefanski said the man is in critical but stable condition at Froedtert.

The Whitefish Bay Police Department is investigating the incident in conjunction with the Fox Point Police and OSHA.
