Burglary Reported on Chateau Place

Whitefish Bay police also caught a liquor thief in the bushes of a home on Berkeley Boulevard.

A television, laptop, cash and rings were taken during a burglary in Whitefish Bay last week.

The burglary occurred in the 700 block of Chateau Place sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday. The homeowner believed the doors were locked, but no signs of forced entry could be found.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • A man who stole two bottles of Jose Cuervo tequila from CVS Pharmacy was caught in the bushes of a home on Berkeley Boulevard near Chateau Place at 5:49 p.m. Friday. The man was cited for trespassing, obstructing officers, and retail theft.
  • A male was arrested for drunken driving for not stopping at a stop sign at 2:42 a.m. Sunday in the 4500 block of Oakland Avenue. The driver, whose blood alcohol content measured 0.10, was cited for OWI and failure to stop at a stop sign. Two male passengers were taken into custody for underage drinking.
  • A woman was cited for retail theft after stealing about $36 in merchandise from CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 4:33 p.m. Friday. She attempted to steal a $18 blender, along with detergent, cleaner and food.
  • A resident in the 200 block of Lexington Boulevard told police that unknown teenagers placed rotten fruit and animal feces on their front porch at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday. 
  • An unlocked bike was taken from the bike rack at Whitefish Bay High School sometime between 7:17 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Friday.
