The 25-year-old was driving with an expired license plate when he made an improper stop in front of a cop.

A 25-year-old Whitefish Bay man is facing his second drunk driving charge after he was caught allegedly driving drunk through the village earlier this month.

Siyavash Motamedi was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with one count of second offense operating while intoxicated and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and $1,100 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Aug. 5, a Whitefish Bay police officer on patrol spotted Motamedi driving near East Belle Avenue and North Lydell Avenue with an expired license plate, no front plate and he also made an improper stop. The officer pulled him over and immediately smelled alcohol coming from inside the car.

Motamedi said he have five drinks before driving and had a blood alcohol level of 0.192, which is more than twice the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.

Motamdi was previously convicted of OWI in 2008. He’s currently free on a $250 signature bond while awaiting trial.
