Ten Vehicles Illegally Entered in the Past Week

Credit cards, electronics and loose change were stolen from some cars, while other cars were rummaged through without any theft.

Unlocked vehicles continue to be targeted in Whitefish Bay.

In last week's police report, 20 vehicles were reportedly entered in the time between Oct. 21 through Oct. 29. Two cars were stolen and eventually recovered in Milwaukee. Shorewood police have also seen recent car break-ins and auto thefts.

Whitefish Bay police received another 10 reports of illegal vehicle entries in the past week:

  • Loose change and a Home Depot credit card was stolen from an unlocked vehicle sometime between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday while parked in a driveway in the 4900 block of Ardmore Avenue. The vehicle owner was able to cancel the credit card before any charges were incurred.
  • Two unlocked cars were entered early Sunday morning in the 4800 block of Cumberland Boulevard. A LG cell phone was stolen from one of the cars.
  • An unlocked vehicle parked in the 900 block of Circle Drive was entered sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5:30 a.m. Friday. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.
  • Another unlocked vehicle was entered in during the same time period on the same block of Circle Drive. The vehicle owner believes the auto entry occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday.
  • An iPad, notebook computer and a deactivated I-Pass were stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5300 block of Lake Drive. The vehicle owner believes the items were stolen between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.
  • Small amounts of loose change were taken from an unlocked vehicle sometime between 9 p.m. Oct. 28 and 9 a.m. Oct. 29 while parked in a driveway in the 4900 block of Marlborough Drive.
  • A pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses and some coins were stolen from a vehicle in the early morning hours on Oct. 29 while parked in the 5000 block of Hollywood Avenue.
  • A resident came into the police station to report a dollar in change was taken from an unlocked vehicle sometime between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and 12 p.m. Oct. 29. No address was listed in the report.
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered sometime between 11 p.m. Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 while parked in a driveway in the 700 block of East Fleetwood Place. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle, but the owner said someone had rummaged through the vehicle.
