Obituary: Mildred Luebke

The longtime Whitefish Bay resident taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for roughly 50 years.

Mildred "Millie" Luebke entered Eternal Life on July 16, 2013 at the age of 94.

Mildred was a longtime resident of Whitefish Bay and a longtime public school teacher.

Mildred attended the old Milwaukee Downer College and graduated from UW-La Crosse with a degree in Physical Education. After graduating, she taught a few years at Cass Street School and then at Lincoln High School for 35 years. While at Lincoln she coached tennis, softball, cheerleading, and was chairman of the Physical Education Department.

Mildred left Lincoln in 1979 and transferred to Vincent High School where she retired from in 1988.

Loving cousin of Pamela (Dr. Bill) Longe and Godmother of Pam Tanner, Kip (Debby) Tanner, and Peter J. (Dee) Tanner. Further survived by good friends and caring neighbors. 

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Care-Age Rehabilitation Center; Oak Crest Villa and Hometown Hospice and Home Care for their compassionate and genuine care of Mildred.
