Obituary: JoAnn Mortonson

JoAnn Mortonson (nee Gulley) entered Eternal Life on August 2, 2013 at the age of 68.

Longtime resident of Whitefish Bay. Beloved wife of Stephen H. Mortonson for 46 years. Treasured mother of Christine L. (Robert) Ridge of Fishers, IN, Laura E. (Jose) Gonzales of Glendale, WI, Thomas R. (Deborah) Mortonson of Fox Point, WI, and Todd B. (Julie) Mortonson of Indianapolis, IN. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Michael and Andrew Ridge; Jessica, Brandon and Alexander Gonzales; Ryan, Evan and Elise Mortonson; Ethan and Sophia Mortonson. Dear sister of Elaine Gulley Stansbury and the late Sharon Louise Gulley. Further survived by other caring relatives and wonderful friends.

Mom taught us what it truly means to have a selfless, compassionate heart. Her spirit will forever be in the hearts of her grandchildren and all who loved her. Visitation was held at the Feerick Funeral Home on Aug. 7. A service in celebration of JoAnn’s life was held at the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay on Aug. 8,. The family greeted friends at a reception at the church following the service. Entombment was held privately at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
