Hello Neighbor!

Hi, I'm Jess. I live in Whitefish Bay. Or as my grandma calls it, the city. There's no sense in correcting her, she's 85. She once gave me a pink crystal punch bowl because that's what you need when you live in the city. Like I said, you just don't argue with Grandma.  

We've been living here since 2003. I really can't believe it's been that long. I grew up in a small town about 40 minutes to the north of here - where my parents still live. My husband grew up just off Brady Street in Milwaukee. As they say, you can take the girl out of the country...and here I am. I am step-mom to A, 17 years, and mom to S, 20 months, which means I generally don't sit down. Ever.

My plan for writing here is to write about life, including being a mom and working for a living, doing everything I can to provide for our family. I'm also huge on setting goals and meeting them, and I crunch numbers for a living.  If there's something you'd like to see me write my take on, I'd love to hear it.
