Community Corner
NSPN Event: Value and Variations of Inclusion
The North Shore Parent Network in collaboration
with school districts of the North Shore invite you to an evening of information and networking
Parents, educators and professionals with interest in the special educational needs of students in the early childhood, elementary, middle and high schools of the
North Shore and beyond are welcome to attend. Parents of peers in inclusive general education classrooms and in inclusive community activities, please join us.
In this forum we will explore what educational and community inclusion really means and what value it has to all students. Distinguish between mainstreaming and supported inclusion in education, between parallel recreational opportunities and inclusive ones. The discussion will begin with a wide range of panelist perspective including a professional advocate and special educators and general educators ranging from preschool to high school.
We will meet at St. Francis Children's Center, 6700 N. Port Washington Road, Milwaukee on Wednesday, November 30th, from 6:20pm to 8:30pm.
