Week Ahead: Trustees Talk Sewers; Klode Park Weed Out

The Whitefish Bay School Board and Village Board will both meet this week, and The Equitable Bank is kicking off a clothing fundraiser for military veterans. Keep reading to learn what else is happening in Whitefish Bay this week.

Village Board: The Whitefish Bay Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday night to discuss the financial impact of a to improve Whitefish Bay storm sewers. Trustees will also discuss the possibility of creating a storm water utility.

School Board: The Whitefish Bay School Board Building and Grounds Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to reaffirm field maintenance practices. Afterward, the School Board will hold a special meeting to approve and extend administrators' contracts for one year.

: Starting Wednesday, will start collecting business attire to benefit veterans who are reentering the civilian workforce.  The “Suits for Soldiers” campaign will begin June 27 and last until July 7. Donations of men’s and women’s clothing will be accepted at all seven Equitable branches in the Milwaukee area, including the branch located at 705 E. Silver Spring Dr.

: Bayshore's summer concert series continues Thursday, with Main Street Song & Dance Troupe (ages 12-18) performing at noon. The Milwaukee Jazz All Stars, a collective of skilled jazz musicians in the Milwaukee area, will play at 6 p.m. Thursday.

: The Whitefish Bay Garden Club is seeking volunteers to help beautify for the upcoming Independence Day festival Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. To sign up, visit this website to join a group or sign up as an individual.
