Week Ahead: Sound of Music, Jump Rope and Hoop for Heart

Jump Rope and Hoop for Heart: The middle school student council will be hosting Jump Rope and Hoop for Heart from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Whitefish Bay Middle School. Benefiting the American Heart Association, the event features treats, carnival games and basketball and jump rope competitions.

Sound of Music: Whitefish Bay High School will present one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, this weekend and next weekend. This week's performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Turn your hobby into a business: This workshop will focus on examining your business idea, exploring ways to market it, and identifying resources for starting your business. The workshop starts at 6 p.m. Thursday at Whitefish Bay Public Library.

Donate your old blue jeans: J. Jill at Bayshore Mall is seeking gently-used jeans to give to women in need at Meta House of Milwaukee. In exchange for your donation, you'll receive an additional 10 percent off your purchase.
