Week Ahead: Sewer Meeting, Bird City and "Arcadia"

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something important to you, add it to the calendar.

Village Board: The Whitefish Bay Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss a , the 2012 village budget – which will raise taxes by 2.56 percent over last year – and the replacement of brick paver walk in using Community Development Block Grant funds through Milwaukee County.

Is the Bay for the birds?  To learn more about what Whitefish Bay needs to do to qualify as a Bird City, visit a at the Whitefish Bay Village Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Night at the theater: The Whitefish Bay High School Theater Department will present  Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

School Board: The Whitefish Bay School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The board will take action on approving 20 fourth-grade kindergarten seats for Chapter 220 participation in the 2012-2013 school year, while not approving new seats for the Open Enrollment Program at this time, due to anticipated class sizes.

Gilda's Club open house: Gilda’s Club will celebrate the opening of its new living room with an at the Thursday. The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested by Monday.

Art show: will host the Thursday through Sunday. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the artist at an opening artist reception held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shopping at Sprecher: Shop for the holidays and enjoy a brewery tour at the Sunday. Miche Bags, Moon Waves, Mary Kay, Lia Sophia, and Yankee Candle are among some of the vendors that will be there. For the full list, go here.
