Week Ahead: Run the Bay, Silver Spring Development Meeting

In addition to the big Education Foundation fundraiser run, the high school parent association is partnering with Heiser Ford for a fundraiser, and Dunkin' Donuts is hosting a little league fundraiser.

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something, you can add it to the calendar.

Community Development Authority meeting: The CDA will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Village Hall to hear an informational presentation of a development proposal within the Silver Spring Master Plan district, in the parking lots bounded by Beaumont Avenue to the north, Diversey Boulevard to the east, Santa Monica Boulevard to the west and the public alley right-of-way to the south.

Plan Commission meeting: Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall to consider a conditional use permit application from , the and , which originally was planned to go into the space currently occupied by but is now planned for the neighboring space currently occupied by T.

: The Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation's sixth annual Run the Bay 5k run/walk will be held Saturday at . The 5k run/walk and kid fun run will benefit Whitefish Bay schools. Afterward, Patch will serve a picnic lunch and games, and Duke Pride will host a rummage sale.

: will host a Brewers baseball ticket raffle event benefiting Whitefish Bay Little League from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Little League players will be distributing raffle tickets and draw winners’ names for 10 sets of two Brewers game tickets. The players will also distribute travel mugs and key chains, while supplies last. In exchange for their help with the raffle, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $500 to Whitefish Bay Little League.

: The Whitefish Bay High School Parents Association is participating in a fundraiser with Heiser Ford from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For every person that test drives a car, the parent association receives $20.

: This NSPN event will focus on self-advocacy, employment and college for children with learning, developmental, intellectual and physical differences. The group will meet at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Children's Center.
