Week Ahead: Ice Cream Social, Village Board Meeting

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something, you can add it to the calendar.

: A free ice cream social will be held from 6:30 p.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday in . Come out with your family to enjoy cones and bowls of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, as well as root beer floats, while enjoying the sounds of the Whitefish Bay Community Band.

Trustees talk sewers: Whitefish Bay officials will meet at at 7 p.m. Monday to act on a $162,221 contract to to determine the magnitude of defects in the sanitary sewer system. The televising work will be reimbursed by MMSD through the PPII program. Any lateral lining or replacement will be funded by the village and directly assessed to the homeowner.

The board will also act on a of $68,000 for the Berkeley Boulevard sewer relay project performed in 2011. The board will also act on a resolution to rescind participation in the Wisconsin Employee Trust fund health insurance plan.

TIF funding for Mandel apartment project: A special joint meeting of the Community Development Authority and the Architectural Review Commission will be held at 5 p.m. Monday to discuss the boundaries of a TIF district for the , as well as the exterior design of the development.

Whitefish Bay School Board: The Whitefish Bay School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and afterward, the board's Personnel and Policy Committee and Instruction Committee will meet.
