Week Ahead: Bay Players Performance, Yom Hashoah Ceremony

The Patch events calendar has several ways to keep busy during Spring Break.

Spring Break begins this week at Whitefish Bay Schools, but those who are still in town have several events to look forward to.

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something, you can add it to the calendar.

Kohl's Art Generation Studio: The Kohl’s Art Generation Studio at Milwaukee Art Museum will have extended hours this week, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The hands-on art studio features a variety of activities and art projects. Kids are invited to take inspiration from art in the Museum’s Collection to make a painting or a collage that explores nature.

"The Seven Year Itch": The Bay Players will present their latest work, "The Seven Year Itch," at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The show will also continue next Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $14 for students and $15 for adults.

Yom Hashoah Commemoration: The Jewish Community Center will hold a ceremony Sunday to remember the six million who died in the Holocaust. The event will feature an intergenerational family program at 1 p.m. and a keynote speech by Hannah Rosenthal, Milwaukee Jewish Federation CEO/President, at 3 p.m.

Prom Dress Party: Local students are invited to come to the Whitefish Bay Library at 11 a.m. Saturday to shop for a free prom dress and enjoy dessert and movies. Dresses are donated from local residents.
