Week Ahead: Bay Ball, Sprecher's Amber Release Party

Thanksgiving crafting and a "Rio" movie night are also on tap in this week's Whitefish Bay events calendar.

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing, you can add it to the calendar.

: The Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation's main fundraising dinner will be held Saturday night at Discovery World. The night will start with dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., then musical entertainment at 9:30 p.m. High school musicians perform during cocktail hour. Students from the Whitefish Bay High School art club will have their artwork available in a silent auction. In addition, there will be a live auction and a fifty-fifty raffle.

: Are you in the Thanksgiving spirit? Take the kids to the Friday for Thanksgiving crafting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

: If you love books and films, stop by the library to sign up for the book and film discussion group Tuesday night. Doug Armstrong, a former film critic for the Milwaukee Journal, will lead a discussion about "The Body" by Stephen King and the 1986 film "Stand by Me."

: Tour Sprecher Brewery and stay for the fun, music, beer and soda while celebrating the release of Sprecher's first beer made with Wisconsin grown hops on Friday.

: Rio, a movie about two birds taking off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro, will be screened fireside at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center at 6 p.m. Friday.
