Time to Tear Down that Holiday Cheer?

The new year is here, and the excuses for keeping that tree up in your house are growing fewer.

Village crews started collecting Christmas trees at the curb yesterday, and they will continue to collect trees through Jan. 20. The trees are not collected as part of the regular garbage route.

If you are placing your tree at the curb, please remove all lights and ornaments, as they are a disposal hazard. If it should snow and your tree becomes buried in the snow, please remove it and place it on top of the snow to ensure that it will be picked up.
