This Week: Library Booksale, Dominican High School Musical

Once On This Island: Dominican High School’s award-winning theater department will deliver their production of the musical "Once On This Island", October 25-27 and November 2-4, 2012. "Once On This Island" is a captivating legend of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy whom she saves from death. This calypso-flavored retelling of The Little Mermaid features over 40 students in the cast and technical crew.

Friends of the Library Booksale: The Friends of the Library will hold their biannual book sale from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. There is a Friends-only preview sale from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.

Trick-or-Treating at the Pumpkin Festival: Whitefish Bay's Great Pumpkin Festival will reopen Wednesday night for a special trick or treat event at Old Schoolhouse Park. In addition to free candy and pumpkin carving fun, the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation will feature a presentation from the Storyteller Theater of Milwaukee called "Zombie Jamboree - Songs, Stories and Spooks".

Diapers to Duds Resale Event: Get your child wardrobe-ready for the upcoming season with the Whitefish Bay Recreation Department's Diapers to Duds event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. You can buy clothing, toys and goods for infant through school-aged children.

"Under the Big Top" Auction: Community Preschool of Whitefish Bay’s annual auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The auction raises funds for new educational materials and equipment, such as the recent purchase of an indoor playhouse for the preschool. The auction is open to the public and will feature many items donated from local businesses.
