JCC Hires New Special Needs Coordinator

Mequon resident Jody Margolis will enhance and develop school-year programming for special needs children in kindergarten through age 18.

Mequon resident Jody Margolis was recently hired as Special Needs Coordinator at the in Whitefish Bay.

Margolis will enhance and develop school-year programming for special needs children in kindergarten through age 18. In addition, she will oversee the JCC’s Chaverim program for adults with special needs.

Margolis served from 2000 to 2010 as director of Jewish Family Services’ Keshet program. She was selected as the Coalition for Jewish Learning’s 2009/2010 Jewish Educator of the Year. She received a Masters of Arts & Teaching from the National College of Education in Evanston, IL.

She is married to Dr. David Margolis, Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Program Director for Bone Marrow Transplant at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. She has two teenage daughters.
