Whitefish Bay Masters swimmers excel at Senior Olympics

In the Wisconsin Senior Olympics held at VHE pool in Shorewood Saturday September 14th the Whitefish Bay Masters swimmer had an excellent day.

Cheryl Drury won the 50 back in a 1:01.70 while finishing 3rd in the 50 free and 4th in the 100 free in the 50-54 age group.

Dave Drury, in the 50-54 age group, won the 200 free in a Senior Olympic meet record time of 2:13.51, won the 500 free in a time of 6:24.00 and finished 2nd in the 100 free under previous record time.

Coach Dave Clark in the 55-59 age group won the 100IM in a meet record time of 1:13.17 and won the 200 breast in a record time of 2:52.44. Clark also won the 100 breast and 200IM, while finishing second in the 500 free under the previous record time.

Karen Kimple in the 50-50 age group swam to meet  record times in 4 of her 5 wins on the day. Her record wins include:50 fly in 35.43, the 100 back 1:23.14, the 200 free 2:23.09 and the 200 breast 3:04.64. Karen also won the 500 free.
