Wingstop Now Open in Glendale

A new chicken wing restaurant has opened up just a couple blocks south of Bayshore Town Center.

Wingstop, the national chicken wing chain with more than 530 locations, opened its newest Milwaukee-area restaurant today at 5326 North Port Washington Road in Glendale. It is located just south of McDonald's in the building that also houses Gyro Palace.

The first Wingstop was opened last year by Brookfield resident Kurt Hodermann at 2086 S. Miller Parkway. Hodermann said he is happy to expand into Glendale.

“We’re proud to be a member of this community,” Hodermann said in a news release. “Milwaukee fans have really embraced Wingstop and we’re excited to introduce another great location. We’re opening in the height of football season, and there’s nothing better than watching fans stop in to pick up wings for a big game or tailgate party.” 

Wingstop of Glendale will celebrate its grand opening Tuesday, December 18 with a ribbon-cutting and sampling event where guests have the opportunity to taste the concept’s award-winning boneless wings for free.

“We have a great crew at Wingstop and a lot of dedicated guests,” added Hodermann. “Hosting a grand opening and offering free wings is just our way of saying ‘thanks’ for welcoming us to the neighborhood.”

With a sole focus on made-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features classic and boneless wings and Glider sandwiches, all sauced and tossed in 10 proprietary flavors. Side dishes include seasoned fries, cut fresh daily from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, potato salad and house made ranch and bleu cheese dips.
