Vinamo To Serve Wine And Tapas This Summer

If you are looking for a new place to enjoy a glass of wine and some tapas, Whitefish Bay will have a new place to explore this summer called Vinamo.

Vinamo, a new wine and tapas restaurant, is expected to open sometime in August.

Rose Niles approached village officials in November about opening a restaurant in the space previously occupied by Cutters barbershop atΒ 402 E. Silver Spring.

Niles plans to offer soups, sandwiches and small plate options for lunch. For dinner, it would offer Italian food and Spanish small plate dishes, which have gained popularity in recent years. She also hopes to serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

"We want to create a warm, but still very trendy, atmosphere," Niles said in November. "Somewhere people can come in have a nice glass of wine or an import beer, and enjoy small plate dining."

Niles told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that the restaurant would use health-conscious ingredients such as free-range chicken, grass-fed beef and organic greens when possible.Β The restaurant will have a full bar, with liquor, craft beers and wine.
