Silver Spring Businesses Host Wine and Chocolate Event Tonight

The chilly weather is all the more reason to come out to Silver Spring Drive and enjoy complimentary wine and chocolate while poking around some of the shops in the business district.

The Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District is hosting "An Evening of Wine & Chocolate" from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the shops on Silver Spring Drive. Attendees will receive complimentary wine and chocolate samplings while enjoying great in-store promotions and live entertainment.

BID Chairman Tom Dixon, of Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, said it is the first time the BID has hosted the wine and chocolate event, and they hope it will bring people out to rediscover businesses old and new on Silver Spring Drive. He said the event has garnered a larger number of participating businesses than usual.

“With it being winter time, we wanted to try to do something fun at night for adults to come out and enjoy the shops of Whitefish Bay,” he said.

Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers will feature champagne and wine from Ray’s Liquor, truffles from Sabor Brazilian restaurant and chocolates from Breitling USA.

Elements Therapeutic Massage will be partnering with Thief Wine and Sweet Trio to provide delicious samples of Valentine's Day essentials. They will also be offering a free chair massage.

Other stores are partnering with wine and chocolate retailers, and people are encouraged to visit all of the shops to try out different samples.

Participating businesses include Breadsmith, Elements East, Elements Therapeutic Massage, Gallery 505, Great Frame Up, Hounds Around Town, Minoan Intimate Apparel, New Options Salon & Boutique, Patricia Shoppe, Realty Executives, RedCap Luggage & Gifts, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, Sendiks, Simon Oliver, Starbucks, Three Wishes, Winkie's, and the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition, which is sponsoring the event.
