Roman Candle Pizzeria Set for October Opening

Construction is underway inside the former Honquest Furniture space at 133 E. Silver Spring Drive.

It's hard to tell from the outside, but Roman Candle Pizzeria is making progress toward opening its doors for the fall season.

Construction is underway inside the 3,000-square-foot space on the east end of the former Honquest Furniture building at 133 E. Silver Spring Drive. Brewer Stouffer, the owner of the Madison-based pizza restaurant, said he plans to open his doors in October.

The Roman Candle will have an open concept interior with table seating, bar seating and a dedicated children's play area featuring a rocket ship. Patio seating will be available around the side of the building on the Kent Avenue corner.

In addition to serving pizza for dine-in, take-out and delivery, Roman Candle will also offer salads, appetizers, desserts and hand-dipped ice cream from the Chocolate Shoppe in Madison. The restaurant will serve craft beer, wine and limited cocktails.
