Express Will Replace Coldwater Creek at Bayshore Mall

Coldwater Creek will close Jan. 6, and Express is expected to arrive sometime in spring.

Express will open its fourth Milwaukee location at Bayshore Town Center, in the space currently occupied by Coldwater Creek.

Coldwater Creek, a women's clothing store, will close after its last day on Jan. 6, according to a sign at the store. The store is currently holding a sale, advertising up to 60 percent off on select merchandise. Coldwater Creek customers can continue to shop at the Mayfair Mall location.

Mall officials told Patch that Express – which also has locations at Mayfair Mall, Southridge Mall and Brookfield Square Mall – will open sometime in the spring.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Coldwater Creek posted a $61.8 million loss for the first three quarters of 2012 in its latest financial report and an $86.9 million loss for the year-earlier period.

In other recent Bayshore news, women's clothier Christopher & Banks closed on Christmas Eve, according to mall officials.

Noticed just the other day (probably because we don't get over there often) that William Sonoma is gone (some holiday store in it's space, for the season only I presume). There looked to be a couple of other new vacancies in the indoor (original) portion of the mall as well.

Apparently it's been gone almost a year already. This article announcing that they are leaving is dated January 2012...

Wow...I guess we REALLY don't get over there often. When I asked if they had moved somewhere else in the mall, she made it sound like it hadn't really been all that long since they had left and mentioned the other store of a similar nature in one of the outer store fronts. I could have sworn we'd been in there not that long ago since my wife likes their soap products, but maybe not.. Time flies I guess....

Bob - the similar store is Sur La Table - not sure if the spelling is correct. It is across from the gap. Was in there once. Nice enough store.

Yes, we've been in there too. It's a nice store. I guess I was just surprised to see WS gone, as was my wife.

By the looks of Bayshore lately I would have thought an Apple Bottoms outlet store would have taken over the space.
