Estabrook Biergarten Rolls Out The Barrel On First Anniversary

"Eins. Zwei. Drei. G'suffa!"

With this traditional Bavarian chant, Estabrook Biergarten owners tapped the keg on its grand re-opening ceremony celebrating its one-year anniversary and renovated facilities. The hundreds of beer lovers that joined the party were treated to free beer and live polka.

Kicking off the event with a keg tapping ceremony, Biergarten owner Hans Weissgerber III said the renovated facilities will improve the experience for patrons.

"This is a true public beer garden - a place for people across the county to get together and make friends," said Weissgerber, the owner of Old German Beer Hall downtown. "We have a saying: "You might enter as strangers, but you'll leave as friends."

Renovations include new restrooms, a full commercial kitchen, more picnic tables and replacing the temporary beer trailer with two fully-functioning bar areas.
