Village's newest restaurant abuzz at grand opening celebration.
Whitefish Bay's newest restaurant, The Bay, opened its doors to the community Thursday night with a tropical-themed grand opening celebration featuring food and drink specials, door prizes and live entertainment.
The Bay has been open since May, and co-owner James McMahon says the business had been thrilled with response it has received from Bay residents.
"The community has been extremely supportive," he said in between greeting customers and directing staff.
He added that establishing a connection with Whitefish Bay is the main reason the owners selected the name they did.
"We definitely wanted to make sure we were part of the community," he said. "That was one of the main focuses when we opened the restaurant."
