Bravo! Cucina Italiana Closing at Bayshore

The Italian restaurant will be replaced by the new Sprecher's Restaurant and Pub.

Bravo! Cucina Italiana is closing at the end of business Thursday, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The Italian restaurant will be replaced by Sprecher's Restaurant and Pub, which expects to open in the fall. Fans of Bravo! can continue to patronize the store at Brookfield Square Mall.

This will be Sprecher's fourth location, adding onto its existing locations in Madison, Lake Geneva and Wisconsin Dells.

Sprecher's plans to serve locally-sourced food made from scratch along with 14 Sprecher beers and four Sprecher sodas on tap. The Bayshore location will have a walk-up window where customers can purchase root beer floats on the go.

I agree with above poster. Our family absolutely loves Bravo, especially as it is the only family Italian restaurant anywhere near here. It has been a favorite get-together place since it opened . . . very sad to see it leave. I'm sure Sprecher's will have a fabulous place, but it will be very similar to others nearby already.

Buca's is nearby--Aren't they are a family Italian restaurant? We did go to Bravo fairly often, I'm not happy to see them go away. I didn't realize that Sprecher was in the restaurant business--I hope their place is good, but I'm not sure that I'd go there as often as I did with Bravo.

People are sad to see Bravo go? Don't get me wrong, I don't like to see any business close or anyone be out of a job, but that place sucked. It was Italian food by-the-numbers. Iceberg lettuce salads, ravioli and pasta sauce that tasted like they just came out of a package. What was to like? I'm much more excited about a place that cooks food from scratch and uses locally sourced items, if people are saying places like Bar Louie and other chain pubs are the same thing, well I guess that goes to show why they enjoy places like Bravo.

@ Mike, Bravo's food didn't come out of a package. My nephew was the head chef there.
