Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Braun to Open Restaurant at Bayshore

8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill is expected to replace Coa Mexican restaurant at Bayshore Town Center.

A restaurant devoted to Wisconsin sports heroes Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun will replace COA Mexican restaurant at Bayshore Town Center.

The restaurant, 8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill, first opened last year in Brookfield. Launched by Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers along with SURG Restaurant Group, the restaurant's name is based on the jersey numbers of the Green Bay Packers quarterback and Milwaukee Brewers left fielder.

The restaurant will open in the space currently occupied by COA, which is expected to close by June 30, according to Milwaukee Magazine.

In a news release, SURG Restaurant Group owner and CEO Mike Polaski said Bayshore is an ideal second location for the restaurant.

“Having enthusiastic support from Omar, my partner, and that of Aaron and Ryan creates a strong force," Polaski said in a news release. "As far as the location goes, I couldn’t think of a better area than Bayshore Town Center."

Like the Brookfield restaurant, 8-Twelve at Bayshore will serve produce, beef and pork that is sourced through Polaski’s owned and operated Hidden Creek Farm in New London, Wis., as well as other Wisconsin farms. 8- Twelve features a farm-to-table concept that is also distinguished by a wood-fired grill.

“With the great success we’ve already had at our Brookfield location, Ryan and I are excited to bring the 8-Twelve brand to the North Shore,” Rodgers said in a news release. “The new Bayshore location is as good as they come, and we’re looking forward to providing the North Shore community with the unique, quality dining experience 8-Twelve fans have come to expect.”

In addition to dining room and bar seating, 8-Twelve will also feature private dining rooms for business meetings and special occassions.

David Moss, general manager at Bayshore Town Center, said the addition of the restaurant is good news for the Glendale mall.

“8-Twelve represents everything that’s great about Wisconsin, from its sports teams to the quality food sourced from local farms,” said Moss. “It’s one more example why Bayshore Town Center is the area’s top shopping, dining and entertainment destination.”
