Meet Julie Henningsen, New High School Learning Center Teacher

Mrs. Henningsen will focus on math and science, but will help all students who come into the Learning Center.

The Whitefish Bay School District hired 17 new teachers this year, and Whitefish Bay Patch hopes to introduce all of them to the community before the school year gets underway.

Today we'll introduce you to Julie Henningsen.

Teaching Position:
I will be a Learning Center Teacher at the High School, focusing on Math and Science, but helping all students who come to the Learning Center.

Where are you from? I grew up in Port Washington and currently live in Bay View with my husband and 16 month old daughter.

Education/experience: I attended University of Wisconsin Madison and Milwaukee, and have previously taught Math at South Division High School in Milwaukee.

Why did you choose Whitefish Bay? I am very excited to teach in the Whitefish Bay School District because of their longstanding reputation for providing excellent education.

Favorite place you've visited? My favorite vacation that I have gone on was to an eco-villa in Southern Costa Rica, where I married my husband on the top of a mountain overlooking Playa Ballena, or "Whale Tail Beach".
