Gilda's Club Invites Cancer Survivors to Laugh

The free event at the JCC on June 9 features a humor workshop and performances from two comedians, including Joey from "Full House"

Cancer survivors and their families are invited to a special evening of laughter on June 9 as Gilda’s Club Southeastern Wisconsin presents “Humor, Health & Hope … Feel Better with Laughter” at the .

The free event begins at 4 p.m. with a workshop led by Meagan Brown, a mind-body therapist from Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Following the workshop and light hors d’ouevres, two professional comedians turn on the laughs.

Comedian, juggler and cancer survivor Scott Burton takes the stage first, followed by impressionist Dave Coulier, best known for his role as “Joey Gladstone” on the ABC television series Full House. Coulier also hosted “The World’s Funniest Videos” and “America’s Funniest People.”
