Spring Sing Concert at Cumberland Elementary

Spring Sing Concert May 30th

Cumberland Elementary students are gearing up for the annual Spring Sing concert to take place May 30th outdoors on the North side of the school.  This year’s theme is the 2012 Summer Olympics and the students are eager to showcase their art, dance and music skills as they relate to that theme.

Just two of many highlights you can expect to see this year are student-dyed flags which will represent the 7 continents as well as African dances that correspond with African drumming.  Additionally, students will serenade the audience with their violins and violas prior to the start of the concert.

If the forecast looks like rain, a decision will be made that morning to move to the event indoors.  The concert would take place in the gymnasium and will occur two times throughout the day to accommodate all families, at 9:45 and again at 1:30.

Cumberland families look forward this celebratory event each year, and it’s easy to see why.  Dance, song and art, all of which is student-centered, make this annual event quite a site.  Don’t miss what is sure to be the talk of the town!
