Only One Accident in Today's Snowstorm

Village received roughly 3 inches of snow, with lighter accumulation continuing into evening.

The only accident in Whitefish Bay today happened this morning, when a 23-year-old Shorewood man slid off the road at Lake Drive and Palisades Road.

The accident, which occurred at 10:27 a.m., caused property damage, but no one was injured. No other crashes were reported as of 6 p.m.

Whitefish Bay Public Works Department trucks were out in force today, but drivers still had to be careful as roughly 3 inches of snow fell as of 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 3 a.m. tomorrow. The National Weather Service predicted the village would see 3 to 5 inches of snow.

Most of the snow was expected to accumulate throughout the day, with lighter accumulation in the evening hours.
