North Shore Guide to Holiday Services

An overview of where and when congregations will be celebrating the holidays.

The North Shore offers many ways to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah this season.

For a midnight mass, check out in Shorewood. For more family-friendly masses, consider 's youth-led service or 's children's service of "Las Posadas."

Here's a breakdown of most congregations in the North Shore.

Shorewood

  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and midnight, and Sunday at 11 a.m.
  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 5 p.m. and a candelight service at 10 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a 10:30 a.m. worship.
  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.
  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 4 p.m. and a candlelight service at 10:30 p.m. They will also have a service at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Whitefish Bay

Fox Point

  • will celebrate Hanukkah at their regular Shabbat service at 6:15 p.m. Friday.
  • will celebrate Hanukkah with a dinner 6 p.m. Friday and a service at 6:45 p.m. There will be a Shabbat service at 10 a.m. Saturday and candle lighting Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.
  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • will have a twighlight worship with lessons and carols at 4 p.m. Saturday, and a candlelight worship at 11 p.m. Saturday. They will also have an informal worship and communion at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. 
  • will have a family service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and a candlelight worship at 11 p.m. Saturday. They will have a 9:30 a.m. worship Sunday. 
  • will have Christmas services Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., and Sunday at 9 a.m. They will also have a special children's service, Las Posadas, at 4 p.m. Saturday.
