Library Gearing Up for Book Sale

Huge selection of books, CDs and VHS tapes to pick from at May 7 sale.

Spring is a time of new beginnings, and what better way to begin anew than starting a new (used) book?

For ideas on your next great read, check out the Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library's semi-annual book sale Saturday, May 7th, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Β 

Friends of the Library are invited to attend the preview sale Friday night May 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You may sign up to join the Friends when you visit the library, or on Friday night, May 6th.

This year for the first time, the group is holding a "bag sale" on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. All regularly priced books and library discards will go for $4 a bag.

There will be a huge selection of fiction, non-fiction, adult and children's books, collectible books, CDs, books on tape, VHS tapes, and even some artwork.Β  All the materials are donated by patrons.

The book sales provide funds for children's and adult programming, library enhancements including furnishings for the children's, youth and adult areas, and special projects as identified by library staff.
