The Cahill Park baseball field is starting to take shape, with the installation of the backstop, in-ground dugouts and electronic scoreboard.
The infield area has also been filled in, and in the next couple weeks, the crews will start laying down artificial turf. A construction worker at the scene said they expect to have the baseball field finished by the end of September.
After the field is finished, they will focus their energy on the storm water retention basin on the north end of the park.
