2 Tons of Clothes, Household Goods Collected at Sidewalk Sale
Shoppers who got bargains during Silver Spring Drive sidewalk sale also donated more than 300 books as part of event.
Shoppers at last month's sidewalk sale on Silver Spring Drive did more than just get some great bargains for local merchants.
They also helped out those in need by donating about 4,900 pounds of clothing and household goods to Goodwill Industries, and another 300-plus books to the Whitefish Bay Girl Scout Troop 1201's children's book drive.
The sale, sponsored by the Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District, took place on July 19 and 20.
